Local career workspace

Resumes, cover letters, job applications, interview material, contacts, offers, work samples, career stories, targets, skill plans, and autofill data are stored locally on your device.

Core document analysis, job matching, timelines, evidence reuse, application readiness, interview preparation, and career planning are designed to run on device.

Accounts and entitlement records

If you use account or purchase features, limited account, entitlement, usage-protection, and migration records may be processed by the app’s service infrastructure. Your local career workspace is not automatically synchronized to that infrastructure.

On-device analysis

CVura quality checks, job-description comparison, evidence reuse, application readiness, interview preparation, timelines, and career-planning signals are designed to work locally with the information in your workspace.

A local signal is still only as accurate as the source information you provide. Review important results and do not treat an app score as an employer decision or an independent verification of your background.

Imports, exports, and sharing

File imports are parsed on device. You explicitly choose which file to import and which finished document or backup to export or share.

A shared or exported file leaves the app through the destination you select. Review its contents before sending it to an employer, contact, storage provider, or messaging service.

Backups and device changes

Because the career workspace is local, deleting the app, losing a device, or changing devices can remove access to data that has not been exported or backed up. Use the in-app backup and restore workflow before a device change or removal.

Treat backup files as sensitive career records. Store and transfer them only through destinations you trust and remove obsolete copies where appropriate.

Purchases and app stores

Apple or Google processes store purchases and subscription management under the store account used for the transaction. CVura may receive the entitlement information needed to unlock and restore the purchased product.

Cancelling a store subscription is separate from deleting a CVura account or clearing local career data.

Deletion and subscriptions

Account deletion removes server-side account and entitlement records and clears local career data after the authenticated deletion completes. Store subscriptions are controlled by Apple or Google and must be cancelled separately in the relevant store settings.

Support and diagnostics

When contacting support, share the minimum information needed to understand the problem, such as device type, operating-system version, app version, screen, and reproduction steps.

Do not send a real resume, job application, contact record, or other sensitive career document unless support specifically requests a safe diagnostic example and you have reviewed what it contains.

What local-first means in practice

Local-first means the working career record is designed around the copy on your device rather than automatic cloud synchronization of every resume, application, contact, interview note, and offer. It does not mean the information is protected from anyone who can access an unlocked device, an exported file, or a destination you selected.

Use the device security available to you, keep the operating system current, review app and file permissions, and be careful when a device is shared, repaired, sold, or managed by an employer or institution.

Sensitive professional and third-party information

You choose which career information to add. Avoid storing or sharing personal, medical, financial, immigration, reference, colleague, customer, or employer information that is not needed for the professional task in front of you.

Work samples, interview notes, job descriptions, and career stories can include information that belongs to another person or organization. Keep confidentiality, intellectual-property, contractual, and sharing limits visible before placing that material in an application or export.

External copies and recipients

Once you export, back up, copy, print, or share a document, additional copies may exist outside CVura. The recipient, storage provider, messaging service, printer, employer system, or other destination may apply its own security, retention, access, and deletion rules.

Review the destination and the complete file before sharing. Removing a record from the local workspace does not automatically remove copies already sent to an employer, contact, store, backup location, or other external service.

Retention, cleanup, and recovery

Review old exports, backups, application packs, and diagnostic samples periodically. Keep what remains useful or necessary and remove obsolete copies from destinations you control when continued retention no longer serves the original purpose.

Local deletion can be difficult or impossible to reverse without a usable backup. Before clearing the workspace, deleting an account, reinstalling the app, resetting a device, or moving to a new device, confirm which records and exports you still need and verify the backup workflow.

Your choices

You decide which professional information to add, which file to import, which document or backup to export, and where to share it. Review destination permissions and document contents before information leaves the app.
