View stepsImport a resume
CVura supports text-based PDF, DOCX, and TXT imports. Extraction creates an editable starting point; it does not guarantee the exact structure or visual design of the source file.
Review name, contact details, role and company pairing, dates, headings, bullets, education, skills, and links before rewriting. Multi-column documents, tables, decorative elements, and unusual date formats deserve particular attention.
PDF & DOCX exports
Open the exported file and inspect page breaks, headings, links, dates, special characters, alignment, and the final page. Different document viewers and word processors may render DOCX spacing or fonts differently.
Give the file a clear professional name and attach that exact export to the matching opportunity. Keeping the final version with the application makes later interview preparation accurate.
Local data & backups
That privacy boundary also means you should create a backup before deleting the app, resetting the device, or moving to a new phone. A store login alone should not be treated as a backup of local career records.
Finish pending edits and confirm the app can access the workspace normally.
Create the in-app backup and save it to a destination you trust.
Treat the backup like a sensitive professional document.
Keep the old device or copy until restore has been confirmed.
CVura Pro & purchases
If CVura Pro is not recognized, confirm the device is signed into the same Apple or Google account used for the original transaction, then use Restore Purchases in the app.
The store displays current product availability, price, billing period, renewal terms, and any applicable trial before payment. Subscription changes and cancellation happen in the store account.
Accounts & deletion
Authenticated account deletion removes applicable server-side account and entitlement records and then clears local career data as the deletion flow completes. Review the in-app warning and export anything you need beforehand.
Deleting an account or removing the app does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Apple or Google. Cancel it separately in the relevant store settings when needed.
Troubleshooting
Most useful support reports describe the exact boundary where expected and actual behavior diverged.
Install the current app and OS updates available to you, fully close CVura, and reopen it.
Write down the screen, action, source file type, expected result, and what happened instead.
When relevant, test with a small non-sensitive file to distinguish content from workflow issues.
Create a backup before reinstalling or taking any step that may clear the workspace.
Include device model, operating-system version, CVura version, screen, steps, expected result, and actual result. Do not attach real career documents unless a safe sample is specifically requested.
A useful and privacy-aware report
Support can investigate faster when the report identifies the environment, last successful step, exact action, and repeatable result while keeping unrelated professional information out of the message.
Name the screen, action, source format, expected result, actual result, app version, operating system, and device. Copy an error accurately or share a cropped, redacted screenshot.
Try a non-sensitive sample when possible, but keep the original workspace, source files, and current backup untouched until the issue and any restore have been verified.
Crop contact details, confidential company material, job descriptions, salary data, interview notes, contacts, and offer terms unless one specific field is essential to reproduce the issue.
Know which system owns the action
Identifying the owner of the failing step prevents a risky reinstall or account change from being used as the first troubleshooting move.
Protect the existing device copy and create a backup before deletion, reset, reinstall, or migration. A store login should not be treated as a workspace backup.
Record the exact screen and step. Retry once with a safe sample when appropriate, but preserve the original opportunity and documents until the result is verified.
Apple or Google controls the transaction and subscription settings. Use the purchasing store account for verification, restoration, changes, and cancellation.
After export, the selected viewer, storage provider, messaging service, employer system, or recipient controls the external copy and may render or handle it differently.
Good to know
Product boundaries, recovery expectations, and the safest route to a useful support answer.
Resumes, applications, interview material, contacts, offers, and other working career data are designed to remain locally on your device.
The file may be an image-only scan, password protected, damaged, or missing a usable text layer. Try the original DOCX or a new text-based PDF export.
No. Apple or Google controls the store subscription, which must be cancelled separately through the same store account.
Start with device type, OS version, app version, screen, expected result, actual result, and reproducible steps. Avoid real resumes or sensitive career documents.
A local workspace generally requires an existing device copy or a backup you created. Protect important data before deleting the app or changing devices.
Create and verify a workspace backup first, export any documents you need independently, and keep the existing device copy until the restored workspace has been checked. Reinstalling may remove local data.
Confirm the active Apple or Google account completed the original purchase, check that the subscription or entitlement is visible in store settings, use a stable connection, and run Restore Purchases once before restarting the app.
Yes when it helps, but crop or redact names, contact details, job descriptions, company-confidential material, salary information, and other career data that support does not need to diagnose the issue.
